We Made The Tabloids
There are some great shots of Robin Romm from her reading last week in The New York Observer. Click on them. Aren't they cute? Now go back to the second one. Bob looks great, doesn't he? See that person's back of their head? That's me. Don't we love the angle? Those sunglasses are hard plastic and don't fit on the top of my head. I always wear them on the back of my head until I can put them in their case so I don't lose or break them. After looking at this picture, I'm thinking of re-thinking my strategy.
Kings Play Chess on Fine Green Satin
Last week I had the pleasure of hanging out with my friend/colleague/former professor Michelle Carter, whose brilliant play "Kings Play Chess on Fine Green Satin" had a staged reading at the Lion Theatre @ Theatre Row.
What Happens
What a whirlwind. It has been over a week since I posted. I overheard a conversation the other day near NYU.
A woman said, "...it was the 1980s, I came to New York to be an Art Star, and accidentally ended up drunk in a bar."
The guy she was with said, "Well, that's understandable. Once in a while we all have too much. Then what happened?"
"Well," she said, "Then it was the nineties."

Robin's Reading and The Lower East Side
Hi. Thanks for all the positive feedback on the blog. I'm glad you like it. Who knew it would be so much fun?
Isn't this picture scary? I look like Nicolson in his famous scary role. It's me being artistic in the guest bathroom. Don't complain to me about it though. Consider yourself lucky this is the one I'm posting out of the bunch.

Time Check
Things in New York couldn't be better. I'm engaged, having fun, and working hard. Here are more pics from the hood and one of my shoes.

Mud
Whenever I travel, one of many priorities in getting grounded after arriving somewhere new is to figure out where to get/how to make coffee. I'm so useless in the morning before coffee that my roommate Dana used to make me a cup and leave it on my bedside table and then shut the door to by bedroom.
